Chakra is the Sanskrit word for wheel. (Sanskrit is a very very old language mainly used in India now). A chakra is like a spinning wheel of energy, whirling around in a circular motion forming a cone in the centre.
Around and in our bodies we have many chakras, including in our hands and feet!
Your chakras are very special. They flow energy from your invisible body to your physical body. The 7 main chakras we will be learning about are even connected to our organs and glands which work in ‘symphony’ with other body parts.
For example, the heart chakra is in charge of the heart organ, lungs, bronchial system, lymph glands, immune system, as well as the arms and hands!
So, even though we cant see our chakras, its important we take care of them and keep the energy flowing. When your chakras are blocked, the energy is blocked and you can feel tired, sick or even sad......the GOOD news is, we will learn how to tell which chakras may need a cleanse and how to clear our chakras in class.
For now, lets find out about the 7 main chakras!!
